Children’s Ministry

The aim of the children’s ministry is to

  • Teach children about the love of God
  • To evangelise
  • To create a place for children where they can learn from the Word of God through
    • Drama
    • Music
    • Prayer
    • Daily lessons
    • Stories
    • Memory bible verses
    • Games

It is our aim to make church and the children’s ministry fun and to build new friendships.

Currently approximately 60 children attends the children’s ministry sessions every Sunday. At present there are eight educators teaching lessons who are divided into the following departments:-

  • Primaries
  • Juniors
  • Seniors
  • Bible Class

The Children Ministry has its own worship band comprising of kids out of the children ministry group. The band is known as the Junior Worship Band

We use the Ivangeli lessons books which we find to be creative, thought provoking which have interactive lessons.

We have regular open children ministry days which focus on everyday topics or events such as, Olympics, Football world cup, World day of prayer and Christmas pageants (annually). We also have a wayside children’s ministry of approximately fifteen children in a local suburb called Manenberg which forms part of our ministry.
